For the CMEG project this year, Grayton worked with British Steel and Systra to replace over 200m of 1080mm diameter gas main in the outage – conducted ahead of schedule and with zero harm in a challenging safety environment.
Ian Pashley of Systra had this to say about the project:
“Grayton showed a positive intent from the outset, assisting British Steel to secure the pipework which was in short supply across Europe. I never had any concerns about the programme, a lot of effort went into the planning the offsite and onsite work, we worked together as a team to resolve any issues, and in the end the work in the outage was handed back early. In a challenging safety environment, Grayton worked with British Steel and Systra to ensure a high level of safety methods and standards were achieved, which resulted in a zero harm project with no accidents or incidents, which is a credit to all involved. So I would like to thank all the Grayton team for all their efforts, to ensure the final outcome was a positive success story for us all.”
Grayton take great pride in the quality of service we provide, always striving to exceed customer expectations through sound planning and excellent communication, while delivering viable solutions in a cost-effective and timely manner. Grayton deliver projects with safety as their highest priority – and this project was no different. We take great pleasure in solving complex engineering, safety and often logistical criteria and we are thrilled when this great work is recognised.
