Indivus currently operate a pyrolysis and gasification waste incinerator, built in 2001. The equipment that RJE is designing and Grayton fabricating is for a new waste to energy project in the UK that will utilise an improved version of the existing operational facility.
The technical design work has involved collaboration in turning a preliminary design into a detailed design suitable for fabrication. Derek Kennington, Senior Design Engineer for RJE, has played an integral role in the design and detailing of this major project. He has undertaken detailed structural analysis, full 3D CAD modelling of over 500 unique components, 50 sub-assemblies, and 8 main assemblies, while providing comprehensive support to the fabrication team.
Bruce Toase Head of Engineering for Indivus had this to say:
“Firstly, Derek’s engineering skills and experience have been really impressive. He has managed some tough design challenges with expertise, which has been crucial for our progress. His ability to produce solutions for these challenges has been outstanding – it has kept us on track and helped us meet our goals.
Derek’s customer-facing skills are excellent. His professionalism and communication skills throughout this project has strengthened our relationship. Overall, I am really impressed with the dedication and contribution to the project – keep up the good work!”
It goes without saying that RJE and Grayton are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication that has gone into this project so far – with huge thanks to Derek. We endeavour to continue in the same manner to deliver a fantastic solution for Bruce and his team at Indivus.
