We're proud of our extremely high standards and quick-response solutions. But don't take our word for it, here's what our clients say about us.

“We are very impressed with Grayton on our latest project and we look forward to hopefully working with you again in the future.”‐ Tom Green – Senior Engineer / Technical Manager, Tronox Holdings PLC
“You don't need me to tell you how good the Grayton guys are, they don't need to speak themselves up either. Their work speaks volumes in their favour. Both day and night supervisors were brilliant and the teams followed suit.

It was comforting to feel we were in the capable hands of skilled and willing engineering professionals. The entire team was consistent with the quality of their approach and helped to ensure that we welcomed a timely completion on our new 6T Torsion Drive Shaft. Above all of that, the approach to safety ensured we truly were successful in the job! We feel they are a credit to themselves and to the Grayton name that they represent, as are you and your colleagues for orchestrating the event. It was a pleasure to be in the company of such an experienced and well rounded engineering team.

Please extend our thanks to the team and share with whom you deem appropriate. We look forward to working with you again on future tasks.”‐ Mark Easdon – Mechanical Reliability Engineer, Imerys Aluminates Limited
Ensus
“The guys who came to site were superb. Professional, thorough, hardworking, etc. They tackled anything we put in front of them and we even threw them at a few emergent tasks that cropped up. Without their hard work and co-operation we would have struggled to get the plan completed on time. They were a pleasure to work with.”‐ Jason Wildmore - Engineering Manager (Ensus UK Ltd)
“Many thanks for your recent support at short notice helping us to breathe some life back into our C Dryer. It is really appreciated, and the team have done an excellent job.”‐ Andrew Ellwood - Mechanical Engineer (Boulby Mine)
“Please accept my sincere gratitude for your outstanding work in completing the major AMEG T70, T73 & T75 Bellows Replacement project during the recent British Steel summer shutdown period, safely and on time. Your entire team’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to meeting our deadline for this are truly appreciated.

This accomplishment is a testament to the whole team’s professionalism and expertise. The successful completion of this project will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the future of the AMEG gas pipeline and our ability to continue with engineering tasks such as this one on that pipeline.

With the entire Grayton team‘s support, an improved engineering solution was provided and adopted, ensuring that the project works were completed exceptionally well. The team’s ability to adapt and respond to the programme as it changed is also something to be extremely proud of, a true testament to teamwork.

Thank you again for your exceptional efforts. The entire team’s contributions were invaluable, and I look forward to our continued collaboration on all future projects of this type.”‐ Chris Cowling, Project Engineer, British Steel
“Thanks to the Grayton team for your efforts on the change of No.12 Hot Blast Valve and Bellows. Everything was perfect and the whole working party was commended for the safe working practices carried out. We'd like to give you the highest praise for how professionally the job was completed. And by the way – this was the only critical job on plant that was completed ahead of time, great job!”‐ Craig Morris, Stoves, Scunthorpe Blast Furnaces
Pipework at British Steel
“Great efforts all round on this project. I am extremely happy with the installation work and, under some difficult circumstances, we still managed to exceed programme with zero harm, apart from some aches and pains! Due to your efforts, we managed to return to service ahead of our planned programme so please pass my thanks on to your team.”‐ John Coleman, Lead Mechanical Engineer, Energy Operations TBH, British Steel
Shutdown works at CPL
“Thanks to your team who took part in the recent shutdown works.

I want to say I was very impressed with each individual who performed the works on our site. Their timekeeping, quality of work, safety awareness, communication, adaption to changing plans, following of site rules and procedures were all faultless and I am very impressed. The apprentices were very keen, didn’t shy away and were always found on the job getting stuck in and willing to learn.

From this I would certainly be looking to have the same team for future shutdowns and/or future works where possible.”‐ Kristian Creswell, Mechanical Supervisor, CPL Products
“Grayton were excellent throughout the project. Their approach to health and safety was spot on and their attention to detail with the installation and their flexibility when problems arose, I couldn’t have asked for more.”‐ Dan Sherress - Mechanical supervisor (Hanson Cement)
Grayton pipework
“Grayton worked tirelessly, professionally and were fully committed to completing the task in a safe and timely manner.”‐ Paul Cobb - Improvement Engineer (British Steel)
Grayton pipework
“We devised a solution for British Steel to significantly reduce and simplify the connection to their DLCO gas holder, removing all redundant isolation valves, platforms and piped services. We manufactured and installed a new 10m piped spool with seal pot and pipework. Due to the volatile nature of the residue inside the gas main, we had to cold cut and water jet clean the gas main - which allowed hot work operations to commence and the removal of contents for lifting operations.”‐ British Steel
“The ability to capture existing dimensional data in a short period of time is critical for industrial plants like ours, the results this company provide are outstanding”‐ Shaun Oliver - Engineering Manager, Tata Chemicals
“My experience as a Project Manager reinforces the reasons we work in close collaboration with professional organisations such as Grayton. As a client (CPL) it is always reassuring that the partnerships we develop deliver the best possible outcomes for our business. The CPL and Grayton partnership continues to go from strength to strength, also reinforcing the confidence we have in Grayton to deliver a quality and right first-time approach. I look forward to Grayton continuing to support CPL with continued growth and excellent service provision.

Names listed (but not exhaustive) of motivated, driven, and key personnel that make the difference to us at CPL: Carl Meale – Engineering Director, Les Mumby – Project Manager, John Royce – Trainee Project Manager, Chris Eaton – Engineering Supervisor and associated teams that make our service requirements a success.”‐ Craig Flemming, Project Manager, Invica Industries
“I would like to thank the team at Grayton for the excellent work that you completed during our shutdown here at the cement plant in Cookstown. The team on site were extremely professional and brought with them a great wealth and depth of expertise which is hard to find these days. The care and attention to safety was also excellent and over the time on site I felt that a very good relationship developed, with Grayton becoming part of our team and all parties working well together. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grayton to anyone and look forward to working together more in the near future. Having Grayton on site gives peace of mind you know it's done right.”‐ Mark Stephen, Project Manager, Cookstown Cement Plant
“I would just like to say a big thankyou to all the employees you sent for the nightshifts on Calciners, it was a pleasure to meet & work with them all. No job given to them was an issue and was completed to a high standard and in time.

Also, on K602 there came a time where we had little numbers from Calderys to put over 50 ton of castable into the kiln, and when asked the Graytons lads mucked in and assisted with lifting every bucket that was needed.

I know it is not much – but could you please thank the individuals personally!!”‐ Richard Stanforth – Calciners/Cokers Area planner, Phillips 66 Humber Refinery
“Could I please pass on my sincere thanks to you and all your guys for all the hard work associated with both #1 and #2 Calciner crash downs. To safely carry out the magnitude of work we all took on as a team – especially within #2 Calciner with no safety issues or concerns was exceptional and a great achievement and one we can all be proud of. This doesn’t just happen by chance but through hard work and effort we all put in each and every day and I can’t thank you all enough!

Those involved showed great energy, commitment, passion and the ability to safely adapt to an ever-changing situation in completing all repair work before handing back both units to operations in a safe and timely manner. It was first class and very much appreciated! thank you.”‐ Dave Starkey – Calciner Turnaround Co-ordinator, Phillips 66
“Credit where credit is due!

I appreciate we’re still a long way off fully completing the kiln feed nose ring replacement, but I’d like to pass on my sincere thanks especially to Matty Atkinson who has overseen the installation of the new stainless steel nose ring sections, and also to the rest of the day and nightshift lads for their contribution. They’ve done an excellent job in what is a challenging environment especially in getting the new sections located into the feed end housing and to setting up in place ready for weld out.

To get to where we are this morning is a great achievement and a fantastic job done by ALL well done.”‐ Dave Starkey – Calciner Turnaround Co-ordinator, Phillips 66

Cold blast main
“I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for the work on the Cold Blast Main. We went from quite a dangerous position in terms of site security due to the pad sinking pulling the trestle leg with it and mains almost coming off the support saddles. The response was very quick and within a week we had a design to work to and within 1 ½ months the design was turned into reality and fitted restoring us back to a comfortable position – added to that it was right over the Christmas period! Thanks again for the efforts on this one, I can finally get a good nights sleep!”‐ John Coleman - Lead Mechanical Engineer, British Steel
“Thank you for the support during our major incident that occurred at SRM Saturday Morning – WBF Closed Circuit Cooling System catastrophic leak. Very quick response onsite and followed through into the evening that day to enact a full repair. I really appreciate the help and my total thanks to Paul and the onsite team!!”‐ John Coleman, Plant Engineer, Scunthorpe Rod Mill
“Much appreciated for the work carried out during the summer shutdown, including the added extras. Grayton never cease to amaze and impress – please pass my appreciation on to the guys.”‐ Dan Jacklin, Mechanical Engineer, British Steel
“As always your lads have done an excellent job replacing the highline beams. Please pass on our thanks to Ben and his teams. Excellent job by all – Thank you.”‐ Mick Johnson, British Steel
